    Cape Breton University is known to be a public Canadian university and has been established by the legislation in the Provincial area of Nova Scotia. The university has been accredited by Nova Scotia's Department of Education and the Maritime Provinces Higher Education Commission. Cape Breton University is also fully accredited and is a member of the following:

    Yes, graduate students who completed an academic degree, diploma, or certificate programme in Canada that is at least eight months in length are eligible for a post-study work permit in Canada.
