Yes, Cardiff University is a public research university in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. Cardiff University was founded in 1883 and was originally named the University of College of South Wales and Monmouthshire. It was formally established by the Royal Charter in 1884. Initially, the university had just 13 academic staff, 12 departments, 102 full-time degree students, and 49 part-time students. The university started awarding degrees in 1893.
