No, CAT is not necessary to get admission in MBA colleges in India. But yes, if you aim for top management colleges in India CAT is best exam to write. Hello, CAT exam is compulsory for getting into the coveted IIMs. For other colleges or universities the exam pattern, syllabus and name is different. For example SNAP exam is the test for getting into Symbiosis, Pune/Noida. All the best.

Hello, First clear if you want to study in Bangalore only or any other state too. MAT is conducted by AIMA. More than 300 colleges announced by the AIMA accept MAT scores.
