if u want to go iim... then cat mandatory...otherwise mat,xat,cmat also available.

There are many entrance exams for MBA in India. Only CAT exam is not necessary but it's mandatory exam if you want to join in top colleges and IIM's !!! And it's one of the toughest exams in India. No it is not compulsory. Although it is advisable to give CAT as most of the b schools accept it. U can give other management exams like XAT,NMAT,CMAT,MAT,IBSAT,ATMA

Most of the reputed colleges in India accept CAT score only for admission into MBA program. Because CAT is considered as the best exam. However some colleges accept MAT and GMAT too.

No CAT are not compulsory.. You can also give XAT CMAT GMAT NMAT ATMA MH-CET IIFT SNAP etc etc

no there are several other entrance exms like mat cmat xat or private exms like ibsat , nmat , snap etc all exms have varying difficulty levels

XIMB-XUB takes in scores of CAT, XAT and X-GMAT(conducted by XIMB-XUB in Bhubaneswar) for its MBA programs.
