No CAT is not necesary to do MBA. There are many other exams which you can apply for and can do MBA. Some of them include- MAT, GMAT, IIFT and XAT.
You can give any of these tests and do MBA. Although, seats are already filled up for this academic session. You can apply for next year.

No, you can also go for MAT, CMAT, IIFT, SNAP and NMAT. All the best. You will get a good college if you clear any of the exams above. CAT is only important to get admission in IIMs.

No, but better to give CAT examination, because MBA from any IIM is a miracle in itself. You can also do MBA from any other private colleges without CAT, but all good private colleges takes CAT performance. So, I will suggest you to give CAT examination. Best of luck. For MBA in abroad, you have to give GMAT exam.

    Hello,
See if you want to get admission in a reputed college you will have to take CAT because CAT score is accepted by the majority of colleges. Other good colleges conduct their own entrance test like FMS and IIFT .
The entrance exams other than CAT which you can take are:-
    1. XAT (Xavier Admission Test)
Xavier Business schools conduct XAT. XLRI-Jamshedpur, XIM-Bhubaneshwar, XIME-Bangalore, Loyola-Chennai, GIM-Goa, etc., accept XAT scores.
    2. Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET)
The IITs conduct JMET. Other than the IITs, IISc also accepts JMET scores for management course intake.
    3. Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP)
    Symbiosis conduct

    Hello,
Absolutely not. CAT is necessary only if you want to pursue MBA from an IIM or a top-ranked non-IIM. There are other exams as well which you can give to get admission into similar reputed B-schools like XAT, CMAT, SNAP, IIFT, NMAT, MAH-MBA CET, etc.

No, I won't say that it is mandatory but if you try it will be a better option. Otherwise, you can also get admission by taking entrance exams of different institutions and scoring well. But, CAT will definitely give your career a boost.
