Yes, it is useful because many institues give admission based on CAT percentile.

Every college has their own criteria for selecting students, some have their own entrance test like GITAM has GOT. You can find out the requirements from the college website.

Yes, mostly colleges accept CAT scorecard aswell. Cutoff varies college to college.
