    Dear Kartik, I would say, The engineering stream at LPU itself has received an overall good rating from students and alumni. The School of Mechanical Engineering offers well engineered seamless courses for students at many different levels such as undergraduate, Diploma/certificate, post-graduate and research based Ph.D. level courses, not only for Mechanical Engineering, but also for Automobile, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics and Mechatronics as well.     Dear Kartik, Being alumnus of LPU, I would like to answer this question. LPU is the better choice to pursue your engineering. LPU does provide B.Tech in Mechanical. LPU is a better option, in terms of placements, best curriculum, infrastructure, well-experienced faculty, and provides hands-on experience on the latest technologies.     Of course, Chandigarh University is one of the best option. It conducts placement drives for the students to provide better job opportunities and get one of the best pay packages. So many other institutes are also good for holistic education as well as for placement also. You can also go for LPU, Amity University, Sharda University, and Tula's Institute etc. Hope this would help you to come out with the best decision. Best of luck for your future endeavors.

    For B.Tech Mechanical Students, Chandigarh University (CU) is good. The placement service of this university is also good. Many other universities in Punjab like LPU, Gurunanak Dev University, RIMT University, Chitkara University are also good for mechanical Engineering and Placement.

    Yes, the academic system is different and so is the evaluation system. Vocational knowledge is given due preference.
