Chandigarh University is approved by both AICTE and UGC (University Grants Commission), which is the recognizing board for universities in India.

    • AICTE approval applies specifically to the engineering programs offered by Chandigarh University
    • UGC recognition applies to Chandigarh University as a whole, since it's a recognised university

Chandigarh University is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India established for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India. In addition it is also recognised by AIU and AICTE.
