Is Chandigarh University just a name for B.Tech CS or it is really a good college? How is it compared to Thapar and PEC?

BTech at TIET Patiala is 4 years, divided into 8 semesters. So, normally, you have 2 semesters each year.

For 2026-27, check the official academic calendar because the exact class starting date can change. Usually BTech classes start around July/August. Better check the admission portal once your admission is confirmed.

Usually Thapar BTech admissions start around May, after JEE Main results are declared. You can apply through the official Thapar website. Keep checking the admission dates as they can change every year.

Yes, Thapar Patiala has hostel facility for both boys and girls. Hostels are inside campus and you get Wi-Fi, mess, laundry, common rooms, gym etc. Security is also there 24x7.

Thapar Patiala campus is around 250 acres. It is quite spacious and green, with hostels, academic blocks, sports facilities, library etc.
