In Civil Engineering emphasis is on the evolution of manmade infrastructure as they understand that how they have evolved to the present scenario. With advancement of technology in leaps and bounds the future of civil engineering in the years to come will be crucial, especially with the establishment of smart cities. My Friend in this domain at LPU was telling me that Students are exposed to different practical oriented fun games and learning activities such as competitions, quizzes, workshops, live projects, etc. Which create an opportunity for students to engage and hone up their analysis, design and drawing skills which is required at industry. Intellectual Industry officials regularly visit school for guiding faculty members and students itself. Workshops are being arranged for enhancing student knowledge. : Experienced faculty members of the discipline nominated as mentors to eligible students which resulted in students satisfaction and improved placements. Hi there, Well, being an alumni of LPU, I would like to answer your question. YES, LPU is considered as a highly reputed university in India nowadays. It started from Engineering courses and now a UGC-approved university as well. I wonder why would it not be good tpo join LPU (such a brand) for engineering. My friend pursued M.Tech. In civil engineering from LPU back in year 2019 and from that experience I suggest you LPU. As per my own experience, she was really happy with the teaching and the resources available for a student. She used to attend workshops related to her work too, which proved to be very beneficial later. Talking about the faculty, she was very happy and inspired with the faculty. And in second year, she had her dissertation and her guide was a female Professor ( Ph.D. from IIT, don't remember which state). She had a good co-ordination with her guide and published their work later in some good journal. She had a good experience at LPU, and told me that there are ample of opportunities for Civil engineering graduates after passing out from LPU. The department has some great tie-ups with leading national companies for placement drives. Major infrastructure companies visit their campus, L & T, Simplex Piles Ltd, Era Infrastructure, Gammon India Ltd to name a few. The starting package can be anything between 45 lacs per annum. School of professional enhancement: From day one LPU students are being trained to nail the success after there graduation. Dear Narain, Lovely Professional University is one of the best institutes for engineering in the state of Punjab. So if a degree in B.Tech (Civil engineering) is what you seek, I suggest that you do consider LPU. I have sound reasons to actually make this suggestion.
