    Yes, as far as IITs, NITs and reputed government universities r concerned. It looks like these branches have not recovered from the effect of the recession that hit years ago. It is true that in engineering, all branches are not so profitable, some of them are managing to hold good salary in the companies, but some of them have too bad conditions in the market. Looking at a big side of the picture, many graduates are still looking for jobs and many of them satisfied with low paying jobs. This is totally clear that, the average starting pay scale of branches like Civil Engineering is too low.
