It was an online exam but from 2019, it will happen in an offline manner.

CLAT stands for common law admission test meant for students who wish to pursue integrated law courses with Honours CLAT exam is being conducted online. Kindly check NLU websites All the best.

CLAT was an online examination, but from 2019 the Central Committee formed at NLSIU have decided to conduct the exam in an offline manner, so that discrepancies that occurred this year and many more times in previous years are brought into check.

Till now, CLAT was conducted offline, but from 2019 the exam will be conducted offline. The decision has been taken because of various issues arising every year and especially after CLAT 2018, which was a catastrophe. CLAT is of two hour duration, comprising 200 questions across five different areas and is conducted online.
