No, not necessary but definitely it is highly beneficial because it makes many things clear to the candidate and make the candidate study correctly and make the candidate prepare through mock exams.

Coaching is absolutely not necessary if you are able to understand the level of exam,old papers and have right material and know how and what to read.it is your ability and self motivation even if u join coaching that determines your success.

No coaching is required at all. just go throught the ncert books for prelims.

You can get good knowledge of your subject and how to handle exam , how can solve maximum question in less time , you can also study continuously due to coaching
