Cranfield University is a public university research university. Cranfield University is a postgraduate university specializing in technology and management. Cranfield University was founded in 1946 as the College of Aeronautics based at the RAF station in Cranfield, Bedfordshire. The school of management of Cranfield University was founded in 1967. The year of 1969 was a very important year for Cranfield University because in this year the College of Aeronautics was incorporated by the Royal Charter will full degree-awarding powers and it became the Cranfield Institute of Technology.
