CRISP was established in 1997 as a Society under the Indo-German Technical Cooperation Agreement. CRISP (Centre for Research and Industrial Staff Performance) in Bhopal is a Tier 2 organization. Bhopal is a Tier 2 city, along with other cities like Amritsar, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Jamshedpur, Jaipur, Kochi, Lucknow, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Surat, and Visakhapatnam.
