Is CU good for mechanical engineering than LPU?

In the era of competitive world, many organisations are offering lot many courses under its roof but I would suggest you to check the following before finalising the institute. 1. Rankings 2. Faculty 3. Pedagogy used 4. International exposure 5. Tech-savvy last but not the least Placements I am not pretty sure about CU but one of the my nephew who completed his studies from LPU has his roommates studying in mechanical department of LPU appreciates the hard efforts and the inputs given by the organisation. The Mechanical Department of LPU has highly experienced and qualified staff pursuing their research in thrust areas such as CAD/CAM, Mechanical design, Thermal engineering, Fluid dynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool design and Flexible Manufacturing Systems/Automation. The Department has to its credit more than 100 research publications in International, National Journals including prestigious ASME Transactions, International Conference and National Conference. The companies which have visited in LPU are Asahi Glass India Ltd, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Anglo, Eastern Ship management, Zycus, Think and Learn, Cactus Communications, XL Dynamics, Lava International, Unisys, JET Airways, ELGI (Off Campus), Daikin Air-conditioning, Honda and many more. Apart from the placements students can pursue their career in: 1. Defence Services 2. Indian Engineering services 3. PSUs like NTPC, NHPC, ONGC etc. 4. Higher Studies like M.Tech, MBA. 5. Core Industry (Manufacturing/Design Industry) 6. Software Industry 7. Food processing Industry (Milk Plants I think that LPU supersedes other institutes in every aspect. Hello, Without any doubt I would say LPU is way better than CU for engineering be it any specialisation. I have done my engineering from LPU can confidently say that LPU has experienced faculty members, well-equipped labs, great infrastructure, excellent placements and complete training and placement assistance. Now talking specifically about Mechanical engineering, I had many friends in this branch and almost all of them were placed via campus placements, that too in core companies. Few of the major highlights of this course are : LPU is ranked as the best engineering college in India. LPU leaped over most IITs and NITs and reached 2nd position in University Rankings of more than 5,000 universities from across the world! The students with the guidance of the School and University are very active in the field of automobile research and activities. Student has an Automobile club under Society of Automobiles India, Under which the teams has participated in various competitions by making there vehicle in Supra SAE (Student Formula CAR), Baja SAE India, BAJA SAE USA, Efficycle Organized International Go kart Championship which is a student initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. Dear Aspirant, First of all I would like to appreciate your endeavours to opt to become a Mechanical Engineer. Nowadays everybody is seeking computers but yes in coming few years demand is definitely going to increase in Mechanical and Civil. Now coming to your question. CU is not that bad, but LPU is too good to deliver the quality education with class. LPU has developed the habit to produce an Industry ready engineers this is the only reason LPU is consulting industry tycoons after every 6 months and ask their suggestions and inputs to improvise their Curriculum. Either Mechanical or Civil or ECE or CSE, LOVELY PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY is always strive to make arrangements for your placements at decent jobs. I hope this helps.
