Is D.El.Ed compulsory for teaching in primary schools?

<p>Yes, according to the <strong>Right to Education</strong> (<strong>RTE</strong>) Act &amp; NCTE guidelines, <strong>D.El.Ed</strong> or <strong>B.Ed</strong> is mandatory for teaching in government and private schools.</p><ul><li>For Primary School Teachers which includes teaching Classes 1–5: D.El.Ed or BTC is required.</li><li>For Upper Primary Teachers which includes teaching Classes 6–8: D.El.Ed or B.Ed is required.</li><li>Candidates must also qualify for CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) or State TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) to get government jobs.</li></ul>
