Yes, it is recognized as like degree of XLRI or Symbiosis.

Christ University initially known as Christ college was recognized by UGC in 1972. Later in 2008 it was awarded deemed university status to become Christ University. But in 2010 Govt derecognized Christ University as deemed university along with 44 Universities across the country for breaking laws set by UGC. In the final evaluation done by UGC in July 2014, UGC cleared Christ University from the list of 44 Universities and was awarded to continue as deemed University. So Christ University is recognized as compared to XLRI or Symbiosis
