    Hi,
Direct second year admission is definitely considered in VIT, Pune. It is generally referred with an acronym 'SEDA' (Second Year Direct Admission). For that you need to have scored more than 80-85% in your diploma. If you are ready to leave your full time job at the time of admission, you will be allowed. As this is a full time course and not a distance learning program, you will be supposed to attend all the classes. So having a job currently is not a problem, but you will have to appear for class daily once you join the college.
    I hope this helps!

    Hello Rose Upadhyay,
VIT-Pune accepts the second year direct admission for the mechanical branch. Some seats are reserved for SEDA admissions. The admission is given according to the merit.
I don't know if a person doing a job can or can't take admission. You can visit the following link for admission related queries.
