Is direct admission through lateral entry in Lovely Professional University for B.Tech in civil engineering possible or not?

Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam): Pass with 70% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) (3 years after 10th) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical)/ B.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent.OR Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) (3 years after 10th) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical)/ B.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent subject to valid score in LPUNEST-2016. For B.Tech. CE, Diploma in Architectural Assistantship will also be considered; other terms and conditions remaining the same. The university offers specializations in Structural Engineering or Transportation Engineering or Environmental Engineering subject to minimum number of students and feasibility.

Hi, Due to the current situation I. e. COVID-19, the eligibility criteria is a bit relaxed and the admissions are being done online. The eligibility criteria is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years. After 10+2 (Non-Medical) or Diploma in Architectural Assistantship or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent. Moreover, LPU offers different types of scholarships on the basis of marks in either of the last two qualifications, LPU NEST Sports, Defence, COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship, and many more. If you are eligible for more than one scholarship, only one scholarship you will get is the maximum one. The best thing is if you get the scholarship, the tuition fees after getting a scholarship will be applicable every semester except a few types of scholarships. The last date for admission to avail maximum scholarship is 30th June 2020. Admission is possible as per the eligibility criteria of the programme. Lateral entries are supported in LPU but in few specific areas like engineering, MGt Commerce etc. LPU is an outstanding place to pursue your studies. I have experienced in LPU as a student and I learned plenty of things during my graduation. LPU provides the beautiful infrastructure and all required resources to students and staff. I will highly recommended that if you really want to make your career with good level of education then you should go for LPU. Manjit, it is possible but with LPUNEST test. The eligibility is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering.) (any stream) (3 years after 10th) or B.Sc.(Non-Medical) or B.Sc.(Computer Science) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017. OR In case marks scored in Diploma (engineering.) or B.Sc.(Non-Medical) or B.Sc.(Computer Science) are 70% or above, then LPUNEST-2017 will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission. In Lovely professional university a student can apply for admission based on clearing the eligibility criteria. For admission in B.Tech. Lateral entry programme a student should have passed with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) [3 years after 10th or 2 years. After 10+2 (Non-Medical)] or Diploma in Architectural Assistantship or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent. Also, LPU has already relaxed their eligibility norms due to Covid-19 scenario. For majority of the programmes, LPU NEST serves the scholarship purpose. B.Tech lateral entry is also one of those. Based on your estimation of 65-67 percentage I would like to say that LPU offers scholarship on minimum slab of 70 percentage. But there re many other categories based on which you can avail the scholarship benefits. One of them I have shared I. e. LPU NEST. In case you would like to appear for the Scholarship Exam you may appear after completion of your admission procedure also. Also based on your estimated percentage you may apply for direct admissions. It is advised to apply soon as the seats are filling fast. Good Luck.
