Is doing Diploma in game designing enough to get into gaming industry? I belong to a lower middle class family.

Well, I think you will need a Master's degree for that but you can work after your Diploma and study further with the money you earn.

Yes, it will be a good choice, but everything depends on your interest. If you have interest in Game Programming then you should go for it.
