Is dual specialization mandatory in XIME? Is it a common course structure for all specialization or only choice of electives is given?

    It all depends on your interest. Whatever suits you, your likes or your strengths you can take. It's mandatory to take 5-6 electives atleast of one subject to make it your major or as you like, take all electives of your major.

    Dual specialization is not a mandatory thing. Your specialization depends on the number of electives you choose from and the credits each subject carries. This you'll have to decide after your internship and when you're entering the second year.
