is ece is tough than mechanical engg. ? if yes, then how much?

Hi Rohit, Although, both the fields are vast and both are good but would depend on your own interests and career aspiration. If you are planning to pursue a career in industries like, Automotive, Automobile, Aerospace, Manufacturing of heavy vehicles, and spare parts, Aeronautical etc. then you should opt for Mechanical. Whereas Electronics and Communication is the field which includes fields like computer or other electrical fields which include small-scale electronic systems including integrated circuits, like microchip designing, with ECE one also can get into, PLC, Embedded Systems, VLSI designing etc. ECE deals only with a specific part of Electrical Engineering and limits itself to that as compare to Mechanical which is huge and even include some parts of electronics. So, depending on the area of your passion you can choose your field. Hope this resolves your query. CIVIL , MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL ARE THE MOST TOUGHEST BRANCH OF ENGINEERING BUT IN ENGINEERING YOU HAVE TO WORK HARD IN ALMOST EVERY BRANCH.
