Yes, the first-year at Ara Institute of Canterbury is free for international students if they meet the government’s eligibility criteria. Applicants are also eligible for study for free if the programme is covered by the government's Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund (TTAF). Students can also check the Ara Institute of Canterbury scholarships if studying
for longer than a year, or if don’t qualify for fees-free study.
