    Founded in 2008, Gautam Buddha University is a state or government (public) university. The GB university is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and has UGC recognition. Additionally, it has a B+ accreditation from the NAAC. Eight universities-affiliated institutions of learning provide the academic offerings.     The Gautam Buddha institution Act of 2002 saw the establishment of Gautam Buddha University (GBU), a public institution, by the Uttar Pradesh government. As a result, GBU is a government university as opposed to a private one.
