    The opportunities of getting a part-time job while studying at MIT can be large. 

    There are a lot of on-campus employment opportunities available including research positions, teaching assistant roles, and administrative jobs. The Student Employment Office is a great resource for finding these positions. Most of the students work during the academic year, earning an estimated $1,700 a term for 6–8 hours of work a week. The minimum wage is $15 an hour.
