Students get part time jobs through Federal Work study programmed offered by the college. It provides job opportunities for students to help them pay for their school expenses. Students can find on campus jobs on the student job portal and they are allowed to work for 20 hours per week. Pay begins at minimum wage (currently $9.50) to a maximum of $11.50 per hour for most positions. Some skilled positions have a higher rate of pay.

Working part-time jobs studying at Mercy College is quite easy, primarily through the Federal Work-Study Program. The programme subsidizes jobs for undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need, enabling students to work while completing their degree. Schedules are adequately managed with 17 hours of work per week so students can do their academics. There are jobs on campus in departments like libraries and academic advising, that assist students with practical experience. Finally, international students can work as student workers (they are also not work-study eligible).
