Yes, getting part-time job is feasible while studying at Pratt Institute. The institute employs over 1,000 individuals as faculty and staff, and students can find full-time and part-time jobs at Pratt on the Work at Pratt website. However, students cannot work at Pratt beyond 20 hours a week so that it does not conflict with their studies. Some available on-campus positions are posted on the Student Employment website, but not all. Students are recommended to enquire directly with Pratt offices and departments. Pratt also offers a student employment programme that allows students on-campus employment opportunities.

Pratt Institute has a relatively moderate acceptance rate of 53%. On the other hand, admission to the university is simple for students who perform better than average. The university selects applicants for its programme in a very relaxed manner and takes a comprehensive approach to admission. Students with high GPAs, stellar grades throughout high school and college, and an equivalent amount of extracurricular and voluntary activity are given preference at Pratt University.
