Hi. Taha. GIBS recently completed a campus recruiting campaign with 100% placements in all specializations, including Finance, HRM, Marketing, Business Analytics, and Supply despite the raging economic breakdown. By being named the Best Emerging B-School in India for 2022, GIBS has established a precedent and a tradition for the rest of the industry. While GIBS Students have received very lucrative employment at numerous global corporations across the world, career 360 has granted the institution an AAA rating in the list of the best business Schools in India.

GIBS is a good college in terms of placements and staff. The placement officer is having industry experience and handles a full team that takes care of companies and meetings. They also organize finishing school that includes placement activities for students. The teaching and non-teaching staffs are always supportive at any time.

Most common reasons why someone gets rejected during GIBS admission rounds:

  • Incomplete application — like missing documents, wrong details, or not uploading everything properly.

  • Very low entrance exam scores — GIBS is flexible, but they still expect a basic score to consider you.

  • Poor communication during GD/PI — if the candidate isn't able to express themselves clearly or has no clarity about why they want to join.

  • No seriousness or preparation — some people come without knowing anything about the course or the college, which doesn't look good.

  • Weak SOP — if the SOP looks copied or doesn't show the student's real interest or goal

GIBS MBA/PGDM admission process is honestly very simple and smooth. It basically goes like this:

  1. Apply online – Just fill the GIBS application form with your basic details.

  2. Upload your documents – Your marks cards, ID proof, entrance score… all the basic stuff.

  3. Submit your SOP – A small write-up about why you want to join GIBS. Nothing too complicated.

  4. Group Discussion (GD) – A short, friendly discussion with other applicants. They mainly check how you talk and think.

  5. Personal Interview (PI) – One-on-one chat with faculty. Very relaxed, they just try to understand you as a person.

  6. Selection result – You get your admission statu

At GIBS, honestly most of the companies that come for placements are MNCs — easily around 70–80%. That's something I personally like because you get exposure to big brands and proper corporate culture.

Some of the common names we keep hearing on campus are like IBM, Deloitte, Accenture, Byju's, Wipro, Amazon, HDFC Bank, Wells Fargo, and many more.

So yeah, the placement scene at GIBS is pretty solid, and the mix of MNCs gives students a lot of options to explore.
