Is GIBS Business School a private or government institute?

1. Selecting a Course
   Choose to apply for a BBA, MBA/PGDM or other courses.
2. Online Applications
   To apply online, go to the GIBS site and fill out the online application form (including personal, academic and contact information).
3. Document Uploads
   Ensure you upload digital copies of your academic marks (10th, 12th and graduation) and entrance exam scores (CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA and GMAT for PGDM/MBA), an ID proof (Aadhaar/Passport), and a passport photo.
4. Application Fee Payment
   The application fee can be paid by debit/credit card, UPI, or net banking.
5. Shortlisting Procedure
   For PGDM/MBA, applications are shortlisted based upon the entrance test scores and academics and candidate profiles.
   For BBA shortlisting is done mostly based on the 10+2 Mark sheet and candidate profile.
6. Selection Process
   Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend Group Discussion (GD) and/or Personal Interview (PI). These events may be conducted either online or within the GIBS campus.
7. Offer Letters
   Candidates selected for the programme will receive an official offer letter from GIBS confirming their admission.
8. Fee Payment and Document Verification
   Once candidates have been accepted into the program, they must pay the admission fee and submit their documents (originals) for further verification.
9. Enrollment and Orientation
   After completing all other admissions-related paperwork, candidates must also complete their enrollment process and attend the orientation prior to the start of the academic semester.

With a process designed to ensure transparency, accessibility and fairness, it is expected that all GIBS candidates will find it simple and easy to secure their respective admissions to the institution. 

There is an application or registration fee for submitting an application to GIBS Business School that cannot be refunded, and varies depending on the programme you select to apply for. The approximate application fee amounts for the academic year comprising 2025 - 2026, are:

PGDM and MBA programmes - approximately ₹850 to ₹950 (for online and offline successful applicants).

BBA Programme - approximately ₹600 to ₹750 (for online and offline successful applicants).

Regardless of whether admission to GIBS Business School is eventually awarded or not, you will need to make payment at the time of submitting your application form (by using either a bank account, UPI, a credit card or other forms of electronic payments) or if you are applying for admission to GIBS Business School offline to send in your application with the application fee payments made via an Demand Draft, to the Goyal Educational Trust.

There are two ways to apply for admission to GIBS Business School (Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and all other programs). These are as follows:

1.  The Online Application Method
2.  The Offline Application Method

•   Online Application

The online application method is GIBS' preferred method of application and is easily completed using the GIBS website. All you need to do is fill out the online application form, upload your required documents and pay for your application fee using one of several methods available to you, such as UPI (Unified Payments Interface), net banking, a debit/credit card, etc. This method is both fast, simple and allows your profile to be created and accessed immediately by GIBS.

•  Offline Application

If, for any reason, you cannot use the online application method, you may also apply for admission to GIBS by going to the GIBS admissions office or campus in person. All you need to do is fill out a printed application form, attach any required documents and pay your application fee (in the form of a demand draft or at the GIBS admissions counter). The admissions team will be happy to assist you throughout this process​ in person.

GIBS accepts either method of application; however, we recommend the online application method as it provides the greatest convenience, particularly for applicants living outside of the city.

All courses except PGDM at GIBS Business School is offered with the option of an International Study Tour while the specialisations offered includes:
