The institute is an AICTE-approved autonomous college associated with Bangalore University. Management studies, BBA and PGDM are the only programmes offered at the college. GIBS is India's first IRE college. It provides BBA and PGDM courses, PGDM with dual degree specialisation. It is affiliated with Bangalore University and approved by AICTE. It provides discipline in several areas. PGDM is equivalent to MBA from any university. The college has a good record of placements and internships.
