Not at all, the GIBS Corporate Academy entrance exam is not too hard.  It's designed in a simple and student-friendly way to check your basic knowledge in areas like English, aptitude, and general awareness.

If you have prepared your basics from school and stay confident, you can easily clear it. More than being tough, it's about showing your interest and potential to learn and grow at GIBS. So, with a little preparation and a positive mindset, it's very much doable.

No, the entrance process at GIBS Bangalore is not too hard if you are well-prepared.

For the PGDM (MBA-level) program, GIBS accepts scores from national exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, or CMAT. These exams can be a bit challenging, but with regular practice, they are manageable. GIBS also looks at your academic marks, interview, and your interest in business—not just the exam score.

The Global Institute of Business Studies (GIBS) Corporate Academy entrance exam is not considered hard. Admissions for most certificate and BBA programs are based on merit and Class 12th marks, not a difficult entrance test.

The selection process is straightforward and primarily evaluates your academic performance rather than testing through a tough exam

Honestly, the thing I like about GIBS is that they don't just say “global exposure” or “industry ready” for marketing. Programs like IRE and CPMP actually make you work on stuff that companies expect outside the classroom.

In IRE, we do a lot of practical learning — projects, ideas, prototypes, presentations, even small entrepreneurship activities. It makes you more confident and helps you learn how to think creatively instead of just memorizing theories.

CPMP is more about preparing us for placements. We get industry mentors, communication training, aptitude prep, grooming sessions, resume and interview practice — all those

From my experience, GIBS offers PGDM in Marketing, Finance, HR, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship and a few more. The best part is that it is not just classroom theory. Most subjects come with some sort of practical exposure like fieldwork, company projects, startup activities, case studies, and industry sessions.

We also get guest lectures, corporate talks, and mentoring which makes it easier to connect academics with the market. Honestly, the hands-on learning helped me understand placements and career options better because you get a real idea of how things work in companies instead of only writing exams.

Industry Exposure at GIBS Business School is integrated into the curriculum as a continuous and structured part of instruction, rather than just one event. GIBS conducts the following types of activities to keep students connected with industry:

  • Guest Speaker Series (also called Corporate Talks) are held on average every month to every other month throughout the term to bring industry leaders (many of whom are HR professionals) into campus as speakers to give Motivating Talks and share their insights about the industries they represent.

Not gonna lie, hygiene and maintenance is something I was worried about before joining, but GIBS surprised me. Washrooms are clean (yes, I'm mentioning it again because that's rare in colleges lol), classrooms don't have trash lying around, and the whole new campus feels well taken care of. I've seen staff cleaning even during breaks which keeps the space fresh. It gives that modern B-school feel and makes you comfortable spending full days on campus during PGDM.
