Yes, JEE Mains is the gateway for JEE Advanced exams. JEE Mains score is required while filing the forms for JEE Advanced.

JEE Mains and JEE Advanced are two different engineering entrance exams. JEE Mains is conducted just after 12th Boards in the month of April. NO jee advanced is compulsory if n only if u want admission in IITs...... Otherwise it's not compulsory...

Hi Sachin, After clearing Jee mains you are eligible to give Jee Advance but it is not compulsory and it would not affect your mains score.
