Is going for SAS course a right option for an un-placed computer science engineer? Or, is GATE a better option?

I'am B.Tech from RTU with 65%.

    Broadly speaking, to begin a career as a data scientist, you need an advanced degree in a scientific discipline like Statistics, Mathematics or one of the Sciences and a strong technical background. You also need to develop a deep expertise in diverse analytical tools like SAS, Hadoop and R. It’s also beneficial to have had previous exposure to working with large amounts of data, preferably even some data mining algorithms.
