Although a weightage is given to both but then it depends how much. It varies from IIM to IIM. Sometimes, if you perform well in interviews and score good marks there, you can cover up for 10th and 12th, if they are comparatively less. Further, you should check on IIM Shillong's website regarding our admission criteria and weightage given to 10th and 12th marks.

Yes, there is a certain cut-off for 10th std, 12th std and graduation percentage after CAT scores, for you to receieve an interview call from IIM Shillong.

Yes, having good marks in 10th and 12th are mandatory because of two reasons. Firstly the cut-off for college is decided upon 10th, 12th, graduation and CAT percentile. If you clear this then you are eligible for admission process. Secondly a cumulative score is calculated by college from the information (10th, 12th, graduation, work exp, diversity, gender, etc) and assign that score to you for further admission process.
