    Yes dear! Absolutely different they are. While real time project handling is considered the two terms are completely different in scope. Graphic design particularly deals with technologies like Photoshop, Core Draw, Logo designing, Illustrator etc. While you are a graphic designer you shall be asked to actually create a visual view of complete project/website you are working on based on the skeletal idea provided to you through UX team or department.
