It's not compulsory but it's almost impossible without gujcet For ex :person a gets 60 percentile in both gujcet and board while person b gets 100 percentile in boards only then the merit point of person a is 3 (0.05*boards pr)+3 (0.05*gujcet pr)=6 score. While person b gets 0.5 (only boards) score which means person a is more likely for admission in gtu or gtu affiliated college than person b even if person b is clearly smarter

No, GUJCET is not compulsory to get admissions into BSc courses at GTU Ahmedabad. The eligibility requirement to get admissions into BSc courses is candidates must complete their Class 12 from the PCB stream with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for reserved category candidates). Additionally, for the admission process, the university releases the merit of shortlisted candidates on the basis of scores they have achieved in their Class 12/ Higher senior secondary. Moreover, there might be a chance that some of the affiliated colleges of the university accept GJUCET scores for admissions to BSc courses.
