    Haridwar University (HU) is a private university established in Roorkee city of the Uttarakhand state in India and it was earlier named as Roorkee College of Engineering (RCE). It was founded in 2016 and up to date it has evolved in terms of programs offered and resources available.

    The University of Haridwar provides myriad of undergraduate and post graduate courses in streams such as engineering, management, commerce, humanities, agriculture and law etc. There are two main regulatory organs in the university such as the University Grants Commission (UGC).

    This is a brief overview of Haridwar University:

    Good side:

    - Approved by the University Grants Commission of India

    - Offers multiple undergraduate, postgraduate as well as PhD programs

    - Has a decent record of placements

    - Highly qualified and experienced faculty

    - Good infrastructure within its Roorkee, Uttarakhand campus

    Bad side :

    - Misconduct of management staff towards students are the subject of harsh criticisms.

    - Students have also complained about certain issues related to the administration.

    - In comparison to other Universities, it has limited research prospects.
