    The degree of the Himalayan college is verified and approved by the government. The university is UGC approved and also approved by AICTE. Himalayan University Itanagar is a State Private University, established by the Jean establishment in 2013, set up under Sec 2 (F) of UGC ACT 1956, by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh at the Nahalagun in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.     Himalayan University, Itanagar is UGC approved and a member of AIU, which makes degrees awarded by this university valid across the country including Odisha, and in most countries across the world.
    AIU is an association of major universities in the country set up with the aim of serving as an inter-university organisation, of which Himalayan university is a valid member. One of its objectives is to ensure that the standard of degrees, Diplomas, certificates and other academic distinctions are not lower than those laid down by AICTE, NCTE, UGC, MCI established by the Central Government for regulation of education.
