Is hostel and all facilities good at NIT, Rourkela? Can I get EEE at NIT, Rourkela as I got 9251? Can it be a better option?

Hi, Congratulation for such an amazing rank. Yes, you can surely get admission in any of the branch in NIT, Rourkela, as you got a good rank. All the facilities are very good in NIT, Rourkela. Starting from infrastructure to hostel facility all the facilities are very good. The placements here are good. The companies come and accept the students with good packages. PSUs recruit with the highest packages. Renowned companies like Schneider electric recruit the students for the internship as well as pre-placement offer. Almost all the branch has an average package of about 5-6 lakhs per annum. It has the second the largest campus area in India, and infrastructure is the beauty of this college. The institute has cricket ground, football ground, volleyball courts, an indoor hall for badminton, swimming pool, basketball courts, and court for lawn tennis are available for the students. The faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable with apt knowledge of the theoretical and practical application and have high experience. The students are impaired with apt knowledge of the subject and helping the students to get deep into the understanding. They inspire us a lot. It has cultural fest and technical fest as the major attractions, along with other small fests through the year. It has a wide scope for extracurricular activities owing to the various clubs. Hostel facility is also good and has proper exposure and mess facility is also good. Thank you.

Review : Big, beautiful and safe campus. Merciless and extreme climate. Club culture is the best in the country if you compare to any engineering college. No ragging, (though some South Indian groups are yet to grow a brain). Internet speed is decent. Dc+ is well maintained and very resourceful. Hostels are good. Cheap zonal politics prevails during election, zonism exists. Odisha zone is itself divided into zones of every district. Gyming and swimming are quite popular over here. Corruption exists. Most faculty members are ordinary, some I find are abnormal, but then there are some who inspired me to stay young, stay full of life, stay humble and be logical. Respect to Paresh Kale of electrical, Vamsi Reddy of home Science, D. R. K Padhi of Mechanical, Dhananjay Bisht of Industrial Design and Pradeep Sarkar of Civil. Fair scope for entrepreneurship, with Phoenix Robotics, Estino and Rogo making their mark in the market. Alumni connection can be improved.
