No, hostel is not compulsory at National Institute of Engineering. However, if you want to stay, the hostel is located at two separate locations, one inside the city and one outside of the city at a distance of 18 kilometres from the college. Depending on the accommodation, you may select either of them, and the food options offered there are really good.
