NIFT Bangalore doesn't have any criteria of compulsorily staying in hostel. Also, the hostel facility in campus is available only to female students of first year, rest have to live outside college as Paying Guests (PGs). No, staying in a hostel is not required for students at NIFT. Hostel facilities are offered to students of NIFT. It is optional, still, and if such accommodations are offered, students are welcome to stay outdoors as paying guests.
