The certificate obtained from the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is not permanent. The HTET certificate's validity used to be five years from the date of issuing. The HTET certificate is now valid forever. Ramesh Pokhariyal, Indian Education Minister has announced that the validity of the TET certificate is extended for a lifetime. Earlier the validity of the certificates was 5 years. Candidates qualifying for the HTET exam will be the first batch of candidates with a lifetime HTET certificate. They can apply for teacher recruitment in Haryana schools at any point in time till they fulfil the eligibility criteria fixed by the respective recruiting agency.
