Sheffield Hallam University accepts a range of English Language exams for different degree levels apart from IELTS. The english language score requirements for international applicants for the highest degree level are given as follows:

The majority of the courses and programs at Sheffield Hallam University are taught in English. Therefore, international students are required to demonstrate their proficiency in the English language. All international students are required to gain a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 for pre-masters programs and an IELTS 6.0 score for other academic programs. However, Indian students who have scored a minimum of 70% in English at Class 12 will be considered equivalent to IELTS 6.0 for a number of postgraduate programs.
