Yes, IIEST Shibpur is Better than NIT Rourkela and Better than Most of the NITs. It is Ranked at 19th by NIRF in 2019 Much Above Most of the NITs and even many IITs.

It has facilities which can be compared to IITs like good infrastructure, faculty members, study environment and placement records.
