In 1999, the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Allahabad was founded. The university is public. In 2000, the Indian government granted IIIT Allahabad the status of a Deemed University. The school's campus is attractively designed. There are 100 acres on the IIIT Allahabad campus.
