Is IIIT, Allahabad IT a good option over MNNIT CSE in 2018-2022?

Don't think so.
Let's look with different aspects MNNIT is top 5 in NIT, placement stats 94% approximately, MHRD ranking 48, highest package 45 lakh and as a student of MNNIT I can say coding culture is great in MNNIT.
While in IIIT highest package is 39 lakh but I believe that there are less opportunities in IIIT as compared to MNNIT.
Not only placement matters, extracurricular activities also plays a great role in the development of the students.
We have Tech fest (avishkar), culrav, Renaissance, athletic meet and many more things to keep you busy and make you feel alive.

1.Ranking:
a) MNNIT Allahabad: It is ranked 4th among the 31 NITs. Ranked 48TH by NIRF 2018. Declared as an institute of National importance in 2007 through NIT ACT.
b) IIIT Allahabad: It's ranked 1st among the 23 IIITS (Except those IIITS which are an International Institute of Information Technology). Ranked 90TH by NIRF 2018. Declared as an institute of National importance in 2014.
2. Placement and Package :
CSE at MNNIT Allahabad 2018: Highest package: 45 LPA, Average: 13.44 LPA and placement statistics: 94 48% placed.
(Apart from these once one of the student from MNNIT offered a package of 1.34 crore by facebook)
IT at IIIT Allahabad 2018 :
Highest package: 39 lakhs, Average package: 12.25 LPA.
(Apart from these once two of the students from IIIT offered a package of 60 lpa each by facebook)
3.Cut-off to get admission :
CSE AT MNNIT ALLAHABAD :
JEE MAINS RANK 2900
IT AT IIIT ALLAHABAD :
JEE MAINS RANK 5600
(Most often colleges which used to keep high cutoff are considered comparatively better so on that basis MNNIT would be better)
4.Life Style:
MNNIT :
1.MNNIT has much more students from many streams of Btech like CSE, IT, ECE, EE, ME, PIE, Biotech, Chemical, Civil and also many students get admitted to pursue MCA, M.Tech and Ph.D course(approx 4000).
2. Many fests being organised here like swagat (combined freshers party),branchwise individual freshers, culrav (Annual cultural fest), Renaissance ( annual E-summit), Avishkar(Annual techfest) etc.
3.Being in the campus of 222 acres MNNITians enjoy in a better way. Consisting of canteens like Bikaner, Teerathraj, RAJ, Goyal, chechi .
4.The best thing is that comparatively, it's much closer to civil lines (only place to be enjoyed in a modern way).
5.Hostel for first year students(Mega hostel SVBH) is not just a hostel it's a hotel for MNNITians which is 8th floor hostel along with lift, Wi-Fi and many other facilities. Two more hostels of 12th and 14th floor is under construction.(There are many other hostels like Tagore, Patel, Tilak, Tandon ,Malviya,KNGH but I only explained about few)
