    Established in 2006, the International Institute of Information Technology is a state-level institution and an initiative of the Government of Odisha. IIIT Bhubaneswar is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Unitary Technical University. The university has five departments of Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Basic Sciences and Humanities.
