Is IIIT in Tamilnadu better or NIT Pondicherry?
I got 13289 rank in JEE main 2014.should I select an old IIIT(D&M) TamilNadu or a new NIT like Pondicherry?

I can totally understand your dilemma in this case as I have been through the same.
Now, you need understand that there are two important things to consider while seeking admission.
(i) A branch of your choice but from a not so good institute = Not much value.
(ii) A not so demanding engineering branch from a good institute= Not much value either.
In your case, bot the institutes are good and at power with each other, it will be difficult to say which is better as the definition of better varies from person to person depending on various parameters. Also, it will not be right to comment on any institute as it might lead to a biased opin...more -
Dear Sanh, NIT Pudducherry may be ranked as the bottom most NIT! It lacks even a basic infra of a private college. Campus selection are also much below the average. IIIT will be a better choice between these two in my view.
