    Yes, IIIT Kota is considered an institute of national importance. It is a joint venture between the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) of the Government of India and the state government (Rajasthan). IIIT Kota is supervised by MNIT (Malaviya Nagar Institute of Technology) Jaipur. IIIT Kota flagship course is BTech, which is offered in two specialisations, namley Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), both of which have received accreditation from the All-India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
